Biography

Mosha Arnatsiaq is a jeweller and metalworker from Iglulik, NU. Arnatsiaq started his artistic practice while in school and soon began selling the drawings he made.

Arnatsiaq continued his artistic practice by pursuing the Jewellery and Metalwork program at the Nunavut Arctic College and later enrolled in the inaugural Goldsmith program the college offered starting in 2002 [1]. Arnatsiaq is always learning new skills in his field to allow him to create increasingly fascinating and intricate pieces. For example, he also creates wall hangings out of baleen, where he carves in scenes of dog teams and iglus.

Arnatsiaq has exhibited his work at the Nunavut Legislative Assembly building, Iqaluit, NU and at the Nunavut Arts Festival, Iqaluktuuttiaq (Cambridge Bay), NU.
