Register Now

Join us for a workshop on writing about art with Napatsi Folger, who is Tauttunnguaqti at the Inuit Art Quarterly magazine. Participants will learn how to craft engaging and thoughtful stories that shine a spotlight on Inuit artists and their creative endeavors. In addition, you’ll learn about the ins and outs of contributing writing to the IAQ, even if you haven’t ever had your writing published.

Whether you're an emerging or established Inuit writer or someone who identifies with diverse intersections, your unique perspectives and voices are welcome in this workshop! The Inuit Art Quarterly  won the 2021 Magazine Grand Prix for Best Magazine and is the sole publication focused on the arts and artists of Inuit Nunangat.

Napatsi Folger is a literary artist from Iqaluit, NU, currently living in North Vancouver, BC. Her primary artistic practice is creative writing, specifically in the genres of comic art, fiction and nonfiction, and she also draws and beads. Inuit identity and family relationships are prominent themes across her writing.
