Biography

Alookie Korgak is a self-taught artist who creates jewellery and accessories like handbags, purses, necklaces, earrings and bracelets that feature traditional materials with modern twists. Korgak began making jewellery in 2017, and in 2020 she expanded her practise to include sealskin and leather kamiks. In the future, she would like to expand her skills and knowledge of Inuit traditional ways of harvesting, preparing and sewing by learning the traditions from local eldersView Long Biography and Citations
