Biography

Laisa Audlaluk-Watsko is a photographer from Aujuittuq (Grise Fiord), NU. She began taking photographs around age ten, when her father gifted her a 35mm camera, but now uses a digital Canon Mark II and her iPhone. Her subject matter varies from traditional life on the land to documentary photographs of school council meetings and other aspects of modern life, but her photographs are always distinguished by the way they capture light. Audlaluk-Watsko was elected to her city council in 2014, and posts as many photos on social media as Aujuittuq's limited broadband connection allows.View Long Biography and Citations
