Biography

Kailey Sheppard is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Winnipeg, MB. Focusing mainly on painting, drawing, digital art and printmaking, Sheppard is reconnecting to their culture through their practice. With an expressive style that is all their own, Sheppard paints a picture of the world around with their own unique style apparent in each piece. Commissioned by the Winnipeg Art Gallery in Winnipeg, MB, in 2018 they oversaw the creation of a large-scale mural, "Mosiac Sea" (2018), which was on display throughout the construction of Qaumajuq (formerly the Inuit Art Center). Sheppard was also a featured artist in the CBC's "Great Canadian Colouring Book" in the summer of 2020 and a featured artist in the CBC documentary "Carved in Stone: Sanannguaqtit" (2020).View Long Biography and Citations
