The Igloo Tag Trademark
The Igloo Tag Trademark is an internationally recognized symbol that denotes handmade, original artwork made by Inuit artists in Canada. Established in 1958, the Trademark is now managed by the Inuit Art Foundation. The appearance of the Igloo Tag on an artist profile means they have had the Trademark applied to their artwork.

Ricky Jaw is originally from Kinngait, NU. His father Matthew Saviawjuk Jaw is a well known carver and influenced the start of his career. Jaw started carving when he was 9 years old, where he used techniques he learned from watching his family members, particularly learning from his father’s carvings of walruses, muskox, and transformations. He is a frequent attendee at the Nunavut Arts & Crafts Association Festival.View Long Biography and Citations
