Sarah Jensen is an expert seamstress who makes traditional crafts in her community of Hopedale, NL. She has worked as a craft instructor in her community, educating and sharing her knowledge with younger makers, and working in collaboration. Jensen skillfully creates mittens, slippers and other items of clothing using traditional methods. Featured in a documentary titled “Handcrafted Hopedale” (2015), Jensen discussed the importance of craftwork and her hope a younger generation becomes more involved to continue the longstanding tradition of sewing.View Long Biography and Citations
